Single purpose
ChairNotes for Aerona adds a “Record with ChairNotes” button to the Aerona patient page and opens the matching patient workflow in ChairNotes when the dentist clicks it.
Data the extension handles
The extension reads the current Aerona patient identifier and, when available, the current appointment identifier. It does not read clinical notes, contact details, passwords, audio, browsing history, or data from any website other than aeronaclinic.com.
When data is transferred
Nothing is transferred merely because an Aerona page is open. When the dentist deliberately clicks the ChairNotes button, the identifiers are placed in a secure HTTPS ChairNotes URL. ChairNotes then requires the dentist’s named portal account and their own live Aerona connection before it retrieves any patient information.
Storage and sharing
The extension stores no patient data, authentication token, password, API key, analytics, or advertising identifier. It does not sell data, use it for advertising, or permit human review except where the practice authorises support or the law requires it. ChairNotes processes only what is needed to provide the requested clinical-note workflow.
Security and retention
Transfers use HTTPS. ChairNotes keeps its AI-provider and encryption keys only on its server, applies role-based access controls, encrypts transient clinical content at rest, and removes transcript and draft content after the configured clinical workflow retention period. The extension itself has nothing to delete because it keeps no local data.
Your choices
The extension can be disabled or removed in Chrome at any time. Account-access and data-rights requests should be made through the user’s practice owner, who controls the ChairNotes account.
